The most widespread method of training employees is 'on the job', whereby they are coached in the fundamentals required to perform their function by their peers or a department head, and the rest they must learn for themselves as time goes by. This leaves a lot to be desired, as whilst the 'coach' may excel in their own job, they may not have the time or the skillset required to adequately and coherently teach others. Furthermore, their own knowledge base may be incomplete or flawed, which could be perpetuated down the line with potentially disastrous results.

There are tangible benefits to having staff with a holistic knowledge base; a broker well versed in post fixture procedures and documentation can provide a more complete client service; post fixture staff familiar with chartering procedures have a greater appreciation of the commercial implications of different decisions; demurrage analysts who understand what laytime clauses relate to in practice are much more effective.

We offer a constructive alternative to the somewhat inadequate 'on the job' teaching method. We conduct training sessions on a one-to-one basis or for groups large or small - either at your premises or at an off-site location. We can tailor our offering to suit your needs and provide you with a teaching programme as in-depth or as general as you require.

We will ensure that you and your staff will be better equipped to face the challenges ahead.
